Free Things to Do at the Paris Fair

PARIS FAIR September 2nd– SEPTEMBER 6th, 2021


  1. Free Gate admission on Thursday, September 2nd to enjoy Discounted Ride Ticket Night on the midway
  2. One day Free Gate Admission is given to each exhibitor upon registration
  3. Free Gate Admission for support person assisting a guest with special needs
  4. Gate Admission is FREE for kids 5 years and under
  5. Parking is FREE
  6. Make sure you get your hand stamped for free same-day re-entry


  1. Visit the Pig Mobile in the Market Building
  2. Surprise – the chickens have moved to the Market Building for 2021!
  3. Don’t be baaashful, check out the Sheep Shows in the Sheep Ring – Monday
  4. Say hello to the Alpacas in the Market Building and learn how their wool is used
  5. 4-H Club exhibits in the Curling Building
  6. Kids can giggle while they watch the Goat Show on Saturday
  7. See the baby chicks in the Market Building
  8. Don’t miss the Touch a Tractor area by the Livestock Show Ring displayed by our Supporting Partners
  9. Oooh and aaah at the baby animals in the Fair Farm area in the Market Building
  10. See 4-H members from all corners of the County compete Friday at the attle ring
  11. The friendly staff from Backed by Bees will teach you about bee, beeswax, honey, and beekeeping in the Market Building
  12. Watch the Youth Horse & Pony Show at the Valley Rings on Sunday
  13. Travel back in time to watch the Heavy Horse Show on Monday
  14. See the displays of locally grown fruits and vegetables
  15. Watch old skills put in practice by the South-Western Ontario Draft Horse Club on Sunday
  16. Collect a goodie bag filled with recipes and valuable tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle from the displays in the Market Building
  17. Look at – but please don’t touch – the antique tractors that have been lovingly restored


  1. Want to judge a competition?  Head over to the Agriplex and vote for the People’s Choice Award in the Photography Contest
  2. Set our eyes on something sweet in the Junior Baking Department
  3. Calling all fairgoers under age 18 – be sure to stop by the Junior Department in the Agriplex – maybe you will recognize the work of a friend
  4. Have you ever seen a Jersey or Ayreshire cow?  The judging for this dairy cattle show is slated for Monday
  5. Get a warm fuzzy feeling when you see the Preemie Blankets made for our special Community Service Project – Curling Building
  6. Judging can be tough for the Junior Department Writing and Sewing Classes – see who won the ribbons in the Agriplex
  7. View beautiful blossoms and arrangements in the Plants and Flowers Department in the Special Event Building
  8. See which baker won the Special Award for Most Points at the Domestic Science Competition
  9. What do we do with recycling materials? Our Junior Exhibitors make Crafts!
  10. Competition is tight in the Brant-Wentworth Holstein Show on Thursday night
  11. The judges will be in a jam when they judge the Best Jams and Jellies.  See the winners in the Agriplex
  12. See the Ribbon winners in the Clothing Classes in the Curling Building
  13. Check out the winners of the Grain Corn & Hay classes in the Ag Awareness area
  14. Looking for Christmas project ideas?  Visit the Crafts and Hobbies displays in the Special Event Building


  1. Are you ready for cowboy action?  Cheer on the Ontario Barrel Racers on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
  2. Don’t miss the O.P.P. display of vehicles and equipment used to protect our Community
  3. Wander through the Little Ray’s diversity of Living things display in the Poultry Building
  4. Cheer on the Freestyle Motocross teams at the Grandstand Friday Saturday, and Sunday
  5. A fan favourite, Figure 8  Derby returns Sunday afternoon at 2 PM
  6. The Glass Slipper costume characters will be strolling the grounds on Sunday at 2 PM, ready to pose with you most any time
  7. Catch a bird’s eye view of the grounds as one of the first 100 riders on the Ferris Wheel opening night and receive a free Paris Fair pin
  8. Grab a selfie at one of several selfie spots on the grounds
  9. Your toes will start tapping to the sounds of the Magic Bean Show – and you will learn about farming too!
  10. Enter the Kiddie Tractor Pull or sheer on your favorite little farmer three times per day
  11. You’ll be on the edge of your seats watching the big cars smash at the 6 PM Demolition Derby on Saturday
  12. Get a selfie with a Cow – can your friends boast that on Instagram?
  13. Meet and greet mascots from favourite shows will be wandering the grounds
  14. Local celebrity, Doug the Great will wow the crowds with his magic tricks while walking on stilts
  15. The Extreme Dogs show will have you clapping as our canine friends perform tricks at their pool


  1. Wash your hands at Sudsy’s Barn
  2. Stop by one of our information Booths on the grounds to get any of your burning Fair questions answered and pick up a schedule for each day
  3. There is plenty of accessible parking
  4. High school students can earn valuable Community Service Hours and meet new friends while volunteering at the Fair
  5. The local St. John’s Ambulance unit is situated right on our grounds for quick response to those in need
  6. Stay healthy and keep clean at the hand sanitizing station on the grounds
  7. Want to learn more about the Paris Ag Society and volunteer opportunities?  Drop by the Information Booth to find out how to join
  8. Three ATMs are conveniently located on the grounds
  9. Kids under age 18 can enter as many Junior exhibits as they like for no entry fee
  10. Enjoy the convenience of a family quiet room and nursing station in the Special Event Building
  11. Seniors and visitors with mobility concerns can move about the upper grounds on Golf Cart Shuttles courtesy of Queensview Retirement Community
  12. Grandstand and bleachers at big shows will be filled to 75% capacity leaving room to safely sit with your family
  13. Take a break from the outdoors and relax in the air-conditioned Exhibition Centre
  14. Students can safely re-connect with friends on the midway after the summer school break
  15. Paris curling club members work long hours to help keep the parking lot orderly and safe
  16. Additional cleaning staff have been contracted to follow sanitizing standards set by the local authorities
  17. The County of Brant has donated tables to expand the picnic area
  18. Forgot your face covering? Just ask at the main gate – we have a supply
  19. Need a vaccination but haven’t had the time?  Drop by the Curling Club Saturday or Sunday to see staff from the Brant County Health Unit

  2. Vroom, vroom!  Check out the Mike Yarek Dodge vehicle displays
  3. Contestants in the Ambassador Competition will impress you with their enthusiasm and accomplishments on Thursday night in the Exhibition Centre
  4. Take in the beauty and workmanship at the Quilting Displays in the Curling Club
  5. Check out unique antiques and collections in the Crafts and Hobbies Section of the Special Event Building
  6. Gaze at the hundreds of beautiful pictures in the Photography competition in the Agriplex
  7. Enjoy the talent of artists in the Art Show including drawing, oil painting, watercolours, and more
  8. Check out the size of the Beef Cattle!  Saturday
  9. Stay connected while you are on the grounds with fantastic service courtesy of a temporary Bell Canada Tower
  10. Litterally feel the earth tremble as the massive Six Horse Hitch Teams pass by the Grandstand on Monday
  11. Our directors are second to none!  Spot their yellow & black shirts and say hello
  12. The Fair Ambassador will stroll through the crowds open to pictures as a welcome to the fun
  13. Smiles and laughs – they are all free and come naturally as soon as you enter the gates!
