One item per section. 

Display items on a 7" disposable plate, unless otherwise stated. 

CLASS 520

Prizes: 1st: $4.00, 2nd: $3.00, 3rd: $2.50, 4th: $2.00, 5th: $1.50 

6 YEARS AND UNDER

1. Using Ireland's flag colours (green, white, orange) make a necklace (string allowed) all other items edible - on a 7" plate. 

2. Make and decorate a 2-3" Rice Kripies squares - on a 7" plate. 

3. Decorate a purchased cookie with a happy face, only edible decorations - on a 7" plate. 

4. Make a "Trail Mix" using your favourite treats, displayed in an undecorated 500mL jar. 

5. Decorate a granola bar as a flag, only edible decorations, label the country on the entry tag - on a 7" plate. 

6. Make a snack for the Paris Fair Ambassador, include 3 items - on a 7" plate. 

12 YEARS AND UNDER 

7. Using a country's flag colours make a popcorn mix, display in an undecorated 500mL jar, label the country on the entry tag - on a 7" plate.

 8. 3 chocolate chip cookies - NO NUTS - on a 7" plate. 

9. Make and decorate a cupcake with a flag other than Canada's, only edible decorations, label the country on the entry tag - on a 7" plate. 

10. 3 brownies - NO NUTS - on a 7" plate. 

11. Make a lunch for a fair volunteer - on an 8-10" plate, no more than 6 items. 

12. 2 of your favourite muffins, same variety, recipe attached on a 3x5" index card - on a 7" plate. 

13. Make a display of 3 sugar cookies - on a 7" plate. 

18 YEARS AND UNDER 

14. Make and display 3 star sugar cookie - on a 7" plate. 

15. 3 chocolate chip cookies - NO NUTS - on a 7" plate. 

16. 2 of your favourite muffins, same variety, recipe attached on a 3x5" index card - on a 7" plate. . 

17. 3 brownies - NO NUTS - on a 7" plate. 

18. Make and display 1/2 a loaf of bread that you would use for a sandwich, label (white, whole wheat, sourdough, etc) on entry tag, in a plastic bag. 

19. Make and display 3 Hungarian Paprika Cheese Sticks using the following recipe - on a 7" plate.

 3 tbsp butter or margarine    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour      1/2 tsp baking powder    1/2 tsp salt    1 egg    1/4 cup milk    Paprika   Parmesan  Romano cheese

1. In a bowl, mix butter or margarine with flour, baking powder & salt until the mixture crumbles. 

2. Add the egg and milk and mix until it forms soft dough. Let the dough rest for 30 min. 

3. Preheat the oven to 375° F. Grease a cookie sheet. 

4. Put the dough on a lightly floured counter. Roll is out with a rolling pin to 1/2" thickness (if the dough is too sticky, add more flour). Cut into small sticks about 1/2" wide and 2" long. 

5. Brush the dough sticks with milk or water, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and paprika. 

6. Bake for 25 min. Cool on a wire rack. Makes about 20 sticks
