CLASS 520

6 YEARS AND UNDER

All items are to be displayed on a 7" paper or styrofoam plates, unless otherwise stated.

Prizes: 1st: $2.00, 2nd: $1.50, 3rd: $1.25, 4th: $1.00, 5th: $1.00, 6th: $1.00

1. Decorate an ice cream cone to look like a Witches Hat, only edible decorations. 

2. Using only fall colours make a necklace, (string allowed) all other items edible. 

3. Using the Rice Krispies recipe, make and decorate an autumn leaf. 

4. Decorate a purchased cookie to look like a jack-o-lantern, only edible decorations. 

5. Make a marshmallow ghost using edible items (except adhesive glue or toothpicks). Not to exceed 6" in height. 

6. Decorate a granola bar to look like a mummy, only edible decorations. 

  

10 YEARS AND UNDER

All items are to be displayed on a 7" paper or styrofoam plates, unless otherwise stated.

Prizes: 1st: $3.50, 2nd: $3.00, 3rd: $2.50, 4th: $2.00, 5th: $1.50, 6th: $1.00 - Unless otherwise noted

7. Homemade trail mix of your favourite orange and yellow snacks, displayed in an undecorated jar no larger than 2 cups/500ml. 

8. Decorate a fall fruit or vegetable to be a turkey. Non-edible decorations allowed. Not to exceed 6" in height. 

9. On a 8-10" plate display a Back to School Lunch. Not to exceed 6 food items. 

10. 3 chocolate chip cookies (no nuts). 

11. Decorate a cupcake to be a spider, edible decorations only. 

12. SPECIAL: 3 No Bake Pumpkin Cookies. Use the following recipe: Prizes: 1st: $10, 2nd: $6, 3rd: $5, 4th: $4, 5th: $3, 6th: $2 Donated by Jerry and Bernice McAughey. 

  

1/2 cup canned pumpkin 

1 cup oatmeal  

1/4 cup sugar 

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp nutmeg 

1/2 tsp ginger  

1/4 cup chocolate chips (preferably small chips)

 1/4 tsp salt  

1. In a bowl mix together oatmeal, sugar, salt, ginger, nutmeg, and chocolate chips.

2. Add canned pumpkin and vanilla and mix.

3. Using a spoon, scoop a tablespoon size of the mixture and form it into a ball.

4. Cool in the fridge. 

14 YEARS AND UNDER

All items are to be displayed on a 7" paper or styrofoam plates, unless otherwise stated.

Prizes: 1st: $3.50, 2nd: $3.00, 3rd: $2.50, 4th: $2.00, 5th: $1.50, 6th: $1.00

13. Using the Rice Krispie recipe make, shape and decorate 3 Thanksgiving foods - label each item. 

14. Make and display one slice of pumpkin pie. 

15. 3 brownies, (not nuts). 

16. 3 chocolate chip cookies (no nuts). 

  

18 YEARS AND UNDER

All items are to be displayed on a 7" paper or styrofoam plates, unless otherwise stated.

Prizes: 1st: $3.50, 2nd: $3.00, 3rd: $2.50, 4th: $2.00, 5th: $1.50, 6th: $1.00

17. Make and display one slice of your favourite fall pie (recipe attached). 

18. Decorate an 8"-9" cake as a Scarecrows face, all edible items, displayed on a firm base. 

19. Make and decorate 1 sugar cookie of the Blue Jays Logo (6"-8") to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their back-to-back World Series wins. 

20. 3 of your favourite muffins - all the same variety (recipe attached). 

21. 3 chocolate chip cookies (no nuts). Please indicate age on entry tag.
