2026 Paris Fair Prize Book

Handi-Crafts

All exhibits must be solely the work of the exhibitor unless otherwise specified. Exhibits must be clean, current, in new condition. One entry per section. Attach entry tag using safety pins NOT straight pins. If there are more than eight entries in a section, 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 2 thirds MAY be awarded. Any items from the Handicraft Section that are not picked up by December 1st will be donated to the Paris Christmas Hampers. Sponsors are not allowed to compete in a section she/he is sponsoring. Quilts and afghans will be covered with clear plastic while on display KNITTING AND CROCHETING must be hand done unless otherwise specified and MUST be accompanied by a sample of yarn or yarn label. 

CLASS 430

SPECIAL - COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROJECT TOUCH, TACTILE or FIDGET QUILTS

These quilts/blankets/mats will be donated to Dementia and Alzheimer patients throughout Brant County and to Lansdowne Children's Centre Autism Services. The blankets help to soothe agitated fidgeting, help focus attention, stimulate senses and exercise hand muscles. The quilt/ blanket should measure 24" to 28" square or rectangular.

1. Touch Quilts/Blankets are SENSORY. They are colourful and feature different textures such as fake fur, satin, corduroy, terry towel, smooth cotton, plush, and fleece. No embellishments. 

2. Fidget Quilts/Blankets are PURPOSEFUL, often themed, with a variety of fabrics and colours. Include zippers, buttons, Velcro, ties, pockets, etc. attached securely (no beads).
