Thank you for joining us at the Paris Fair September 2 nd to 6 th 2021
Paris, ON – September 19, 2021

The Paris Fairgrounds were once again filled with children’s laughter, livestock shows and
grandstand applause at the 163 rd Paris Fair.
The Board of Directors created a safe and educational event while working with staff from the
Brant County Health Unit.
To conform to the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen and Regulation 364/20:
 Capacity limits on the grounds, in buildings and in the grandstands were reduced.
 Midway rides were spaced to allow for social distancing and cleaned on a frequent basis
including a nightly deep clean
 Indoor programs were changed or eliminated.
Local Public health officials also asked that face coverings be worn both indoors and outdoors.
Free face masks were offered at the gates and frequent reminders were broadcast throughout
the grounds by volunteers.
The five-day total attendance was 33,969 – down from over 50,000 in 2019 but organizers
anticipated this. “Not everyone is comfortable with attending an event after spending so many
months at home. We understood this when developing our budget for the event.” stated
Secretary Manager Cheryl Muir. The Society is grateful for funds received from the Reconnect
Festival and Event program which will be used to pay for expenses such as increased security,
additional cleaning and Covid-19 safety signage.
We were pleased to welcome many patrons who had never experienced the Paris Fair and
received an overwhelming amount of support and positive feedback.
The Society would like to thank our Sponsors, Entertainment providers, vendors and hundreds
of volunteers who gave many hours to provide the tradition of the Paris Fair.
