Ambassador Program

Working with her brothers helping to judge entries in the Junior Division, assist in the Information Booth and the Agricultural Awareness area are just some of the favourite memories that Suzanne has of Paris Fair.  Her year as 2015 Paris Fair Ambassador is sure to create many more wonderful memories for Suzanne Kelley.

The Paris Agricultural Society has a proud tradition of involving young people in our organization.   The Ambassador Program is a great opportunity for youth to build skills, serve their community, get involved and build lasting relationships.
The 2015 Paris Fair Ambassador is Suzanne Kelley.  Suzanne was chose from 5 worthy contestants at the Ambassador Competition held the opening night of the fair on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Paris Fairgrounds.  A large attentive audience listened as the contestants were judged on their prepared speech, their answer to an impromptu question, and overall professional poise.  Earlier in the evening they met with the judges individually and were judged on an interview.

A 17-year-old Paris District High School student, Suzanne is the daughter of local Paris residents Alan Kelley and Marilyn Sewell-Kelley and was sponsored by the Paris Lion’s Club.  Suzanne’s interest in competitive and school sports, travel and leadership has prompted her to look toward a career in Sports Management and to create a company that helps, teaches and inspires children in sport around the world.

As Ambassador, Suzanne is given the opportunity to practice her public speaking as she represents the Paris Agricultural Society at various events throughout the year, work with media and work alongside Paris area volunteers and businesses.

The Role of the Ambassador

The Paris Fair Ambassador represents our organization during the Fair and throughout the year by interacting with our guests, volunteers and exhibitors on The Society’s behalf.  Our Ambassador will be called upon to deliver impromptu, prepared speeches and greetings at many events.
